I think Reince Priebus and/or HR McMaster are the leakers. Maybe working with Pence to get Trump out

Priebus, McMaster, Pence, and possibly some others in the House or Senate are working together to speed along Trump's removal. Priebus can go on to be Pence's Chief of Staff. McMaster is on active duty and not necessarily there by choice. We've heard very little from him since his awkward defense of Trump's shady meeting with the Russians in the Oval Office.

All of the others, like Bannon, Spicer, Conway, etc, know they will be unemployable when Trump is removed. So I doubt it's any of them.

If a decent-sized group of the GOP was in on it, then Priebus would likely be aware, which would tie his fate to Trump's as well. Besides he strikes me as the treason-weasel type.

6. Plutocrat wing of the GOP vs. the Alt-right perhaps?

McConnell and Ryan aren't alt-right either, but don't seem terribly eager to get rid of Trump.

7. What if the goal is getting Kushner, Donnie Jr. and Eric out?

Then it could be Bannon, Spicer, Conway, etc. doing the leaks.

I saw this somewhere.

It seems plausible to me. Bannon is having trouble achieving his goals and removing the family (assuming Ivanka goes with her hubby) will put him in a much more influential position.

11. That would be incredibly short sighted, since exposing those guys makes it even more

likely that Donny Two Scoops will be exposed and removed from office.

12. Short sighted is a good description of much of their actions.

Much of what comes from anyone in this administration seems to be done for immediate effect. Done for PR, ratings or whatever you want to call it. Lately, many of their lies aren't sophisticated enough to hold up for a day. Nothing appears to be too stupid for most in this administration.

I suspect leaks have been coming from almost all of them. It makes it difficult to guess which individuals and why in this case.

14. I'm guessing that some second-tier aides (those one level below Kushner, Bannon, Priebus)

might have access to some of this info and might also leak some of it, either hoping to help their favorite in the in-fighting, or perhaps because they can no longer stomach this gangster administration and are experiencing real pangs of conscience over their own part in it.

I retch when I think of Pence in charge. Ryan and the rest in the line of succession too.

Changing the subject, but thinking of the gangster administration. I've worked events where the secret service was present. Most of the senior ones would talk a bit when we had a cup of coffee and seemed decent people. They would not fit in a gangster environment. The young ones were uptight and had an attitude. I'd be willing to bet that they are not treated well now and are treated as untrustworthy. Some jobs can turn to crap quickly.
