1. That's GREAT!!!!

We can thank our insatiable greed and desires for cheap crap on making China so powerful. The politicians that have been giving our jobs away since the 90's need to be held accountable, they need to be voted out of office in the next elections.

"Free trade" has costs us tax monies, jobs, security flooded the market with items that will be thrown away in 6 months and are depleting the worlds of minerals it needs. We are ripping the world apart only to throw crap away into garbage dumps with the most toxic chemicals in our history.

But hell yeah, lets make sure China becomes more wealthy than us so we can continue our slide into irrelevancy, lets just hand over all our tech secrets, state secrets and cash rather than buy a POS trinket we really don't need. Politicans allowed all those jobs to go overseas, we allowed this by buying shit we don't need to provide for our families.

Seriously, what 15 year old needs a "smart" phone, to call Mom and Dad and their friends? To text your BFF one classroom over? Why are teachers allowing kids to keep devices on them during school, have a generation + of people that are nearly illiterate becasue kitten videos are more important than teaching kids or parents being involved in their kids lives. I know I'm ranting, but all of these things are connected. And we have bought China a Navy and Air Force to rival ours becasue we need trinkets.

And from what my friends who travel there tell me it seems like it may be in progress. They said the Chinese run most infrastructure projects and have a huge presence at ports.

The Chinese know that the standard of living in China is steadily going up and that Chinese manufacturers will not have the same endless supply of super cheap labor they do now. And they know that Chinese consumers will want more and more cheap stuff. By essentially colonizing Africa they can send Chinese bosses down to run slave workshops of African workers to to the low skilled manufacturing that the Chinese labor market is pricing itself out of, but the Chinese can still make all the money from it.
