Conservative co-worker, yesterday: "I take everything I read with a big grain of salt." Me: "So, *everything* is fake news?" Co-worker, nodding vigorously: "Yeah, I don't know these people writing things!" Me: "Then the terrorists have won." (Exit, stage left)

I can't personally verify the news or know the person reporting it, so I don't believe. I'm not personally a climate scientist, so I don't believe in climate change. At some point they will stop believing that they are sick because they can't independently verify the diagnosis.

Ignorance truly is their M.O.
