Kind of like how on January 21, 2009, *nobody* ever really supported Bush to the point of saying people opposed to him were committing treason.

9. Their silence means they finally heard the truth and now accept it but won't admit it.

I have some FB friends who suddenly changed from posting anti-Hillary, anti-Obama made up shit and kinds of bashing of Pelosi and are now posting nothing but animal funny videos.

post one of those "just give him a chance" things on FB. But mostly there is silence. Nothing. Nada. Not a peep about anything political. Not that I mind. LOL. Oh, yeah, I did block some of the sites (but not them) they were posting....so THAT might be why. LOL. Just thought about that. Maybe the blocking WORKS!

The friend of a Facebook friend. My friend posts a lot (and I mean A LOT) of political stuff, mostly from the liberal side of things. His friend has been very consistent in defending all sorts of Republican shenanigans that you know darned well he would have come unglued about were it perpetrated by a Democrat. One of his standard retreats is "Well, Hillary's e-mails!" or some other such irrelevancy.

Lately, he's been kind of quiet as my friend continues to post very damning stories about the Trump administration's escapades.

Just yesterday, my friend posted about President Trump's assault on Madame Macron, and his friend responded "WHO CARES?!" so nobody's been blocked yet. I was thinking about posting back to the wingnut something along the lines of how lucky Madame Macron was that Trump apparently didn't have a Tic-Tac handy. He's pretty easy to needle like that, and I do it from time to time. I'll probably just let this one go. There will be other opportunities, I'm sure.

"Well, I know you didn't really care for the guy as a candidate. I know you thought his promises were pie-in-the-sky."

They'll bail in a heartbeat if you open the door to the greasiest slip-n-slide on the planet. Then they can start talking shit to their friends, too. Before long, it crumbles. It won't matter that you know the truth while donalds support slips to 7%.
