A new Vox/Survey Monkey poll finds 14% of Trump supporters now fear that the Senate health care bill will make them worse off.
Those supporters are the most vulnerable part of Trumps coalition. They have lost faith in Trumps promise that he would replace Obamacare with something much better, and they have less faith in the rest of his presidency too. Compared with their fellow Trump backers, they are more economically anxious, less confident in Trumps economic policies, and more concerned about the Russia scandal and the administrations possible ethical violations.

This is what you get when a candidate (who is obviously a con man) offers up promises without demonstrating anything substantial to show he will be able to keep those promises.

THIS IS WHY YOU DEMAND TO SEE A PLAN! What the actual fuck is wrong with these people? Did they think drumpf was going to fly in on a unicorn and get them more healthcare for less money? Do they still believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy too?

(82,849 posts)Wouldn't now be a good time to remind voters that it was the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) that lifted the lifetime caps on coverage, and eliminated denials for pre-existing conditions? The trade-off for that, of course, was the individual mandate, and that was necessary because Republicans refused to consider any plan that cut the insurance company middleman out of our health care system. Of course, when the bill came up for a vote, not one Republican voted for it.
If you voted for Trump and now you're anxious that you the prospect is looming again of medical bills you can't pay, maybe you should reconsider which party to vote for next year?
