I'm in upstate NY for vacation (Adirondacks).

We went to a little ice cream drive-in after dinner and there was a sign taped to the one of the appliances that said "United We Stand, Divided We Fall...A majority of Americans voted for President Trump."

I was so outraged, I just wanted to run behind the counter and rip it down while telling them everything that was false and wrong about those words, but I behaved myself. I live and have always lived in very blue areas for most of my adult life and rarely have to face this kind of stupidity, but I couldn't imagine if I had to encounter this kind of bullshit every day. I think I would go mad.

I have to hand it to those of you living in very red areas/red states. I don't know how you cope with it day in and day out. You must either be very strong or very drunk.

We aren't all Trumpsters in this neck of the woods, and the beauty of the surrounding area helps keep a more zen attitude.

sends their kids to camp up here every year so we all get together and spend some time in the area. Generally, people are very nice in this area, but that was the first time I had seen something like that even though I know it is a pretty republican area.

Support our red district Dems, folks. They're our foot soldiers in our fight to take back our democracy. Without them our long term goals are toast!
