This goes against the precepts laid down by their cruel goddess, Ayn Rand. One of their basic tenets is that the sick, the poor, and the disabled -- especially when they have a lot of eumelanin in their epidermis -- somehow deserve their fate. The well, the wealthy, and the abled have no obligation to lend a hand -- even if that happens in the context of one of the bedrocks of modern capitalist society: insurance.
