CBS - "The swamp's deeper than he thought": Trump supporters stick with him

Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Etc., need to work on media strategy that resonates well on Fox News, Breitbart and Infowars. Focusing on healthcare, the economy, and workers rights just does not resonate to those plugged into these sources for their information. This is why Trump's base remains solid and why they can believe him when he says he did not collude with Russia, then believe that doing so is not a big deal, because Fox News, Breitbart, and Infowars say so. Indeed, it is President Obama's fault for not stopping Trump from engaging in the collusion that he denied ever happened, which was no big deal that it did.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- At the Vigo County Fair in Indiana, amid the familiar sights and smells and sounds, we found supporters of President Trump eager to push back against the big story of the week in Washington.

Brenda Wilson says she is "not at all" troubled by the Russia investigation. "There's nothing to it," Brenda Wilson said.

Even with Donald Trump Jr.'s admitted meeting with the Russians, Brenda Wilson says she thinks "his son was trying his best to be as transparent as he possible could."

She said the meeting itself isn't troubling to her. "No," she said. "That happens."

If they can find money laundering or something that looks like a real crime to these idiots perhaps 5% more could be shaved off. About 1 in 3 people in the country are so fucking stupid there is no hope period ever!

3. What Trump and his supporters think is a swamp

is the real America. The America the believes in helping people, investing in infrastructure and fighting for human rights. What they consider swamp is anything that goes against their fascist heartless hatred of basic governance.

This is what you need to realize when they talk about swamp.

However, it won't change, even without Ailes, O'Reilly, Milo, etc. the minds (or lack of) the attitude of ITs base.

Nothing will change his base. In fact, some members of ITs base even say that IT would have to murder someone they love (maybe Wayne LaPierre, the head of the NRA) for them to even possibly sway their opinions. Nixon left office with about 30% of his base intact. These people are not worth any amount of effort, time, money, etc. to try to convince through rational, logical thoughts and facts. They are NOT rational, thoughtful, logical people so we need to write them off and proceed with trying to reach those who aren't blinded by smoke, mirrors, and shiny objects. I don't know if any of those even exist at this point.

...that was fed to Trump supporters. However, Republicans appropriated to attack legitimate news and now the left is afraid to call out Fox News, Brietbart, Rush Limbaugh, etc., for just pumping out lies.

9. Maybe instead of a message that resonates with tRumpers

try a message that resonates with the entirety of the other 2/3 of the country. I am so sick of this BS about how everyone and their dog needs to feel included. No, they don't. Get a message that slaps the independents in their faces and motivates the apathetic 50% to get off their asses and vote.
