Poor Ann Coulter.
She was slumming it, flying coach, and didnt want some plebe sitting next to her, so she books an extra seat. Delta ended up needing the seat and Coulter had a Twit Fit.

Dont you fly first class, Princess?: Ann Coulter gets trashed for bratty Twitter meltdown over airline seat
Ann Coulter had an online meltdown on Saturday after Delta Airlines gave away an extra room seat she booked next to her own before the flight left the ground.
On Friday afternoon, Mediaite.com said, the right-wing provocateur tweeted, Just when you think its safe to fly them again, the worst airline in America is STILL: @Delta.
She b****** and moans her way through about a dozen tweets and culminates by outing the poor woman whom Delta seated.

By then, twitter had had about enough.

Hey @Delta, you mind telling me why it was an "emergency" to move someone else into the seat I had carefully chosen in advance and booked?

(52,174 posts)I'm not seeing anything to suggest she booked two seats.

(11,122 posts)Damn. Hours within earshot of that whiny thing.
They should have paid the lady to take the seat - hazard pay.

(3,152 posts)I would have gone right back at her if that was me.

(25,839 posts)(not that deep and dark after this post) is that I actually book first class seats when I have to fly.
Gasp! I know.
I've learned that if I book far enough ahead of time I can get a first class seat for a price I'm willing to pay. Yes, a coach seat will always be cheaper, but I've had it with the cattle car.
I was an airline employee back in the day, and I flew free, in first class, and that was not only before the TSA but in the first two years before any security nonsense whatsoever.
Ann Coulter probably has a lot more money than I do. She really can afford to book first class. Yeah, she will have to tolerate some plebe sitting next to her, but she can drown her sorrows in the free alcohol and pretend she's someone else.
Oh, and I keep on getting the pre-check designation, and I'm not sure why. Perhaps it's from booking F class, perhaps because I'm north of 60. But I haven't paid an extra fee for the pre-check, but I've invariably gotten it the last few times I've flown. Lucky me.
Fun fact: I flew from DEN to PDX a few weeks ago, and Al Franken was on my flight. I spoke briefly with him, and was a bit disappointed he wasn't seated next to me. In the baggage claim area the woman who was sitting next to him told me how delightful he was, which was wonderful to hear.

(61,691 posts)The extra room can be important, healthwise, for some, too.
I just bought Al Franken's latest book. Can't wait to finish my current reads so I can get started. (I can manage one book of fiction and one nonfiction on my proverbial nightstand.) Franken included some fabulous photographs in his book.

(54,330 posts)I'd go back to the counter and pay the difference to fly First. Even a small risk they might seat me next to her is too much.

(23,336 posts)She could be facing the window, and you don't see her face until you're strapped in and the plane is rolling down the runway, then she snaps her head around and says, "Let me tell you about Hillary Clinton and the horrible things she did in Benghazi...".
Too late, you're doomed.

(54,330 posts)It's not healthy to always assume a doomsday scenario. Something like that might force me to lock myself in the toilet until the plane landed. The obviously frantic flight crew would then call the cops to remove me after landing. If it's in San Francisco, I might get a psychiatric exam and some counseling, but if the plane lands in Tulsa or Birmingham, I might 30 years to life. We Southerners know how this goes.

(12,374 posts)is disrespectful and a breach of privacy, and should be grounds for removal from the aircraft. They all look quite pissed; wonder how they feel now that their faces are splashed all over the world?

(10,877 posts)then again, anything that makes her mad is fine with me.

(58,724 posts)But she only booked one "extra room" seat. It is unclear why she was moved to a different seat.
