That's hard to do. Usually a republican voter won't know there being screwed until it's to late. I have been predicting for a long time Obamacare would repeal and replace the republicans, Not the other way around. No matter what the republicans do on healthcare they are going to pay a big price in 2018. Will they pay a big enough price is the question? Will the democrats gain control of congress? This will be a big issue, along with what is happening with the trump investigation.
Things could go extremely bad for the republican party next year. It would make sense. They have been stretching the boundaries of democracy for years. It's got to break at some point.

They need to mandate all paper ballots with a box to put them in and all counted when the polls close, with observers present.

(115,661 posts)The Constitution grants the states broad power to prescribe the times, places, and manner of holding elections to Congress. "Clause 1: Time, place, and manner of holding. The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing [sic] Senators." In other words, the Elections Clause says the states decide how *senators and representatives* are elected but Congress can make changes to the way those elections are conducted. Otherwise the states are going to do the nitty-gritty of election procedures (what kinds of ballots, etc.).

(115,661 posts)Here in Minnesota they just got rid of the caucus system and voted to go back to primaries starting with the 2020 election. There was a lot of pressure on the legislature to do this; it was argued that the caucuses made it too difficult for many people to participate.
Since state legislatures determine voting procedures, citizens need to lobby hard for better, more secure methods that don't allow for hackable or unverifiable voting.
