Is it a sin to tell a trump?

I'm sure SC's two Senators have my emails going straight to their spam folders by now. But since our spineless Governor (he was the first statewide-elected official in the US to endorse Trump when he was Lt Gov) wrote an op-ed endorsing the Senate bill, I emailed him today and told a trump: I claimed I usually voted Republican, but if the GOP healthcare passes my wife and I have pledged to vote straight Democrat in 2018 (had I said 'straight Democratic' it would have given me away.)
My immediate reply from him was that he would give serious consideration to my "specific request or suggestion."
I hate to be a trumper; hope it doesn't keep me from going to heaven.

2. Republicans do not give 2 shits about you.....

your health, your financial future, etc. But they want your vote none the same. Your coming to your senses is a sign and perhaps a trend that will scare the shit out of Republicans come November of 2018.

If more people see the light, Democrats will win crucial seats in both Houses. With the poor job approval ratings of Trump and Congressional Republicans, how is it they are still in power besides gerrymandered Districts?

4. That's exactly what I did and continue to do when I contact them.

Try calling them too. If the lines are busy that is good but lately more and more are open (shit, people NEED to call again).
I live in a blue city and state but have called all 100 senators over 3× each and 100 congressmen. I use Zillow addresses from their states and districts so that when I say I am a constituent they will take my call seriously and it does work! Area codes don't matter due to cell phones. I call the dems to thank them and give them encouragement. I tell the repub staffers about my own true health story and how I am going to die in severe pain and bankrupt within 1 1/2 years without the ACA then through my tears. Then I loudly tell them that all of my family, friends, and former co-workers are going to vote dem from now on too.

The truth is my family, friends, neighbors... are dems since I have disassociated myself from repubs over the years. My stress is lessened that way.

9. Oh, they've been hearing from me

I have a list of all of the aides in both Senators offices and who handles what. Normally, it is pretty easy to get them on the phone. Now they are all go to voicemail, but I really don't blame them for that.
I have called and emailed numerous times, but this was the first time interacting with our Gov.

Quick story about our Gov: He ran against Fritz Hollings for Senate last time Fritz ran. Behind in the polls and desperate for an issue, he said there had been allegations of cocaine use on the Senate floor (this was late 90s).
In a campaign appearance, he challenged Hollings to have a drug test and make the results public. When informed of this, Hollings replied, "I'll have a drug test if Henry will have an IQ test and make it public."

Note: a political commercial is not bound by any limits as to the truth of the statements, you know!
