While every day is truly special, the numbers on today are very special because of the order they are in.
What order you ask?....7/17/17. Kind of neat. 3 sevens and 2 ones. in order.......
Now, next year we will get 8/18/18...but we got to wait a whole year for that one.....
TODAY IS A SPECIAL DAY........7/17/17.....................thank you......

(38,414 posts)I guess that I had heard that definition before, but I have forgotten it...Why would someone forget that? I do not know, perhaps, I should be so bold,
as to say......................I am growing old.
The Blue Flower
(5,433 posts)"Able was I ere I saw Elba" was the most memorable one taught by my ninth grade English teacher, attributed to Napoleon.

(16,850 posts)as an 80's kid I love some Weird Al, but I can't stand this song, mainly because, yes Bob could be weird and obtuse in his lyrics but "Subterranean Homesick Blues" is pretty clear in its meaning! Lmao, love a spoof though. My seven year old loves to sing "Yoda" every time "Lola" comes on the radio, which is weird and funny at the same time!

7/17/17 backwards is 71/71/7.
A palindrome would be "A man, a plan, a canal--Panama!"

MISTAKES ARE OK..............MISTAKES ARE OK...........
MISTAKES ARE OK..............JUST FOR TODAY.............
WHY...how can you say something like that????????????????????????????
Because, I think, that they still put erasers on pencils...don't they????
that means people make mistakes.......and..well, ...Stuart...this is too much....
ok....time to hide for a moment....

What ... the curtains?
NO NOT THE CURTAINS LAD!
Lancelot's is one of the best sketches of MP&THG ... though the whole first hour is brilliant ... Black Knight, Castle Anthrax, Bring Out Your Dead, The French Castle, Is She A Witch, Robin's Minstrels, The Knights Who Say 'Nee', Constitutional Peasant, etc. So bloody classic.

(64,852 posts)Of course we can't do the MM thing, just the M thing. Otherwise it's 07/17/17, and then the palindrome goes away.
I know, i know. I'm being a spoilsport.

7-17-17 doesn't happen here...I feel cheated now!

(7,391 posts)I turn 57. And the number of letters in my names -- 5,7,7.
Surely it will be my greatest doom/fortune.
All I want for my birthday is a Democratic House, Senate, and President. Small favors.

(39 posts)It's the day we can safely say that Donald Trump's presidency died. All I can say is I hope they decommissioned his nuclear codes. If he ever had any.
Trump lost his repeal and replace bill. The United States Senate has said "No Deal." Winning the election was the only trick in his bag of tricks. He doesn't even have a bag; it was just that one trick.
He is highly likely to be under investigation. Almost everything his team says about his collusion with Russia is not true. They are simply not going to stop lying about it. Everybody knows this.
It's been mistake after mistake after mistake for 7 months. Instead of being tired of winning, his supporters will be exhausted of his terrible miscalculations.
Legislators are going to want a better leader and that is basically anybody who is not Donald J. Trump. It's over for him.
