They have taken IOIYAAR to the nth degree since November and it is painfully clear at this time that there is nothing that is going to shake them from this.

Politics has become a zero-sum game to them...their "win" is just as important as a "win" to them as it is as a "loss" to the Democratic Party....for many of them, a Democratic loss is MORE important than a Republican win because that just shows the common man is sticking it to those damn effete liberals and their snowflake existence.

These are people who took Hermann Cain seriously...because he said that Democrats should be viewed as enemies...
There are people who took Sarah Palin seriously....because she prayed with witch doctors and spouted off about 'death panels'...
These are people who took Mike Huckabee seriously....because Jesus.

There is a nearly inexhaustible list of morons, hacks and dirtbags that these people take seriously...pundit hacks, propagandists, plain old mean spirited bullies and downright fools, ALL are seen as credits to 'their side' in this game...and when these people offend us as being ill-educated and boorish or non-serious characters, they rejoice all the more.

They do not care if these people they support hurt them, only that they drive educated liberals crazy with their nonsense and that their demagogues promise to hurt someone else (preferably someone darker complected) worse.

There is a very real Stockholm syndrome run amok on the right, they can't be reasoned with, they can't be shamed, they can't be compromised with...

The divide is real, and it is growing out of control.
