GOP Committeewoman: Sorry for Boosting McCain Death Wish

The Republican Party of Nevada’s national committeewoman apologized late Monday evening for appearing to support a call for John McCain’s death earlier in the day. Diana Orrock, a former candidate for state assemblywoman who now serves as the state’s GOP committeewoman, praisingly retweeted a Medium article about McCain’s hawkish military views, titled, “Please Just Fucking Die Already.” As a caption to the tweet, Orrock added: “Amen.” Hours later, she removed the tweet—and, after retweeting several far-right trolls like Mike Cernovich and Jack Posobiec, she finally addressed her earlier comment: “My apologies to @SenJohnMcCain, @NVGOP & @GOP. Today's retweet was disrespectful. Sen. McCain is an American hero. I don't wish anyone harm.”
