Will the Republican Congress impeach Donald Trump if he fires Robert Mueller?

Would Trump even think of firing him under the present conditions of the investigation?

Could the Congress then create an Independent Counsel, that could not be fired by the President, and is different from a Special Counsel? Isn't that what was created during Watergate?

We should all hope that it does not go that far?

You have an extremely poor grasp of probability. There are several posters here who write long flowery threads that receive high marks and praise, but the author has a brutal sense of big picture reality.

It reminds me of Rachel Maddow touting our chances in South Carolina.

Actually it reminds me of all the nonsense posts here regarding Bush being impeached circa 2002-2006, or right wing posts on sports forums expressing similar belief about Obama impeachment throughout his 8 years. Runaway bias plays tricks on otherwise functioning brain cells.

10. Donald Trump cannot fire Mueller

Mueller can only be dismissed "for cause" but it is difficult to imagine what "cause" someone could cough up that would suffice. But in any event, Trump can't fire him, he would have to try to get someone else to do it and present "just cause." I believe that would be almost impossible for him to manage, just my opinion.
