So How Is Trump Going To Blackmail The Repug Senators At This Lunch Today?......

These Senators need to turn the table on him and have a 'come to Jesus meeting' with him. They need to perform an intervention on Trump.

Fall in line Trump and act like a president or we're going to take you out of office.

He will sue them. He will primary them. He will express concern that their loved ones might meet with an unfortunate accident should they not do what he demands.

All he knows how to do is to threaten and he has nothing to back it up beyond impotent bluster. No shitty lunch is worth the price of having to listen to him for him for an hour.

Most of them are quite secure in their seats, and have the benefit of long experience in government. Trump is a tenderfoot in that world. Threats are not credible coming from Trump. He can't primary them. He can't get voters to the polls. He can't do much of anything without the backing of the Senate, as a matter of fact.

It works the other way, really. The Senate can stop Trump cold on almost every level. Trump may or may not realize that, but it's absolutely true. While the President has certain powers, he has no money, really. Everything costs money, which has to come through Congress. The Senate can cut Trump off at the knees, if it wishes.

They're beyond Trump's threats.
