Still I wish the NYT would even fact check his transcripts.

The only power that 45 has left is the power of propaganda - the ability to lie freely and have those lies get amplified by the press. And he's good at it.
We have signs of the press pushing back on those lies (the MSNBC chyrons on the holocaust, for example) but that pushback is few and far between. And Maggie Haberman at the NYT is about as pliant a Trump-repeater as there is.

The Attorney General very plainly committed perjury during his confirmation hearing, and nothing has come of it. We are close to complete dictatorship here.

Given the investigative powers that Mr. Mueller has at his disposal, don't you think he has already issued numerous subpoenas and demands for documents and testimony? After all, Grand Jury proceedings are secret and the public has no right to know about them.

In fact, Mr. Mueller can access personal information about Trump, (like, his tax returns), and Trump wouldn't even know about it because the IRS would not be required to inform Trump of the examination.

I have an barely founded and meagerly rational trust in Robert Mueller III. He could be our bulwark against tyranny.
