(24,392 posts)In Rachel's case, I don't bother listening to the background babble of her set-up. Doesn't mean I'm not tuned in.
She did open last night's show with an admirable spot on John McCain's condition. That, I listened to. The ensuing rambling, not so much.
BTW - as I'm typing this, the Tour de France is on the TV machine. I'm half paying attention to that, but mostly focussed on typing this response.
