I'm reading the New York Times' transcript of their interview with the Madman.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/19/us/politics/trump-interview-transcript.html

And I come to the realization that Trump speaks English much like someone speaking a foreign language being translated into English would sound.

"TRUMP: So, that dinner was a very long time planned dinner. And what it was was an evening at the opera. It was a final night goodbye from Germany and from Chancellor Merkel. It was her dinner. It was, you know, everybody knew about it. It was well-known."

TRUMP: I don’t really know. … But in that time. And don’t forget, Crimea was given away during Obama. Not during Trump. In fact, I was on one of the shows, I said they’re exactly right, they didn’t have it as it exactly. But he was — this — Crimea was gone during the Obama administration, and he gave, he allowed it to get away. You know, he can talk tough all he wants, in the meantime he talked tough to North Korea. And he didn’t actually. He didn’t talk tough to North Korea. You know, we have a big problem with North Korea. Big. Big, big. You look at all of the things, you look at the line in the sand. The red line in the sand in Syria. He didn’t do the shot. I did the shot. Had he done that shot, he wouldn’t have had — had he done something dramatic, because if you remember, they had a tremendous gas attack after he made that statement. Much bigger than the one they had with me.

2. I can't bear to see him speaking so I have been relying on transcripts all this time.

It does make me feel like I have not actually been an avid reader for over 45 years. It makes me feel like I need new glasses and maybe a drink (and I am not a drinker!).

I hope young people or new readers are not having to see this. It would turn them off reading forever!

It's the conversation between you and Pootie-poot!

Creature doesn't know what he wants to say except that it is ALWAYS someone else's fault and will be paid for with someone else's money.

On a more serious note:

https://www.aphasia.org/aphasia-resources/primary-progressive-aphasia/

"What is Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA)?
Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) is a neurological syndrome in which language capabilities become slowly and progressively impaired. Unlike other forms of aphasia that result from stroke or brain injury, PPA is caused by neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s Disease or Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration. PPA results from deterioration of brain tissue important for speech and language. Although the first symptoms are problems with speech and language, other problems associated with the underlying disease, such as memory loss, often occur later.

PPA commonly begins as a subtle disorder of language, progressing to a nearly total inability to speak, in its most severe stage. The type or pattern of the language deficit may differ from patient to patient. The initial language disturbance may be fluent aphasia (i.e., the person may have normal or even increased rate of word production) or non-fluent aphasia (speech becomes effortful and the person produces fewer words). A less common variety begins with impaired word-finding and progressive deterioration of naming and comprehension, with relatively preserved articulation.

As with aphasia that results from stroke or brain trauma, the manifestations of PPA depend on what parts of the left hemisphere are relatively more damaged at any given point in the illness. The person may or may not have difficulty understanding speech. Eventually, almost all patients become mute and unable to understand spoken or written language, even if their behavior seems otherwise normal.

Signs and symptoms of other clinical syndromes are not found through tests used to determine the presence of other conditions. PPA is not Alzheimer’s disease. Most people with PPA maintain ability to take care of themselves, pursue hobbies, and, in some instances, remain employed.".....(more at link)

All he knows was it was a long, boring performance of boring classical music that he had no ability to sit still through or pay attention to because it wasn't about him.

And there was no cool military parade that went along with it.

He has lost his ability to articulate complex reasoning, so, no doubt, his complex reasoning capability is history.

But make no mistake, he's always been bullshitting us.

He's been a conman since the day he started talking.

And the thing about conmen is that they don't have to necessarily be very smart or skilled in their subject matter; they just have to be smarter than the people they are attempting to con.

13. I did like Maggie Haberman's little sly aside towards the end of the interview.

TRUMP: I mean, I was talking about, she deleted and bleached, which nobody does because of the cost. How she got away with that one, I have no idea. 33,000 emails. I talked about the back of the plane, I talked about the uranium deal, I talked about the speech that Russia gave Clinton — $500,000 while she was secretary of state — the husband. I talked about the back of the plane — honestly, Peter, I mean, unless somebody said that she shot somebody in the back, there wasn’t much I could add to my repertoire.
