The latest Trump interview once again reveals total disregard for the rule of law
He can’t see anything other than naked self-interest.

At his confirmation hearings, Christopher Wray promised over and over again that he would run the FBI independently from the White House — just the way it’s always been run. But in a breathtaking new interview with the New York Times, Donald Trump makes it clear — over and over again — that he does not believe the FBI or any other agency should in any way be independent from his personal whims and interests.

Here he is explaining that the FBI director “reports directly to the president”:

he thinks the government is a corporation. He doesn't know anything else, because he never worked as a government employee, so yes, he thinks he hires and fires at will and everyone is his employee, that even Americans are his employees, not the other way around.

I can't even think how venal and corrupt businesses and business people are, if all of this information coming out is any indication of how morally and mentally bankrupt the leaders of business are. It is just sickening. It isn't government that needs to change--how businesses are run and how their function in society is viewed. The puny laws and regulations in place right now are the only defense against the mindless greed and corruption constantly emanating from the business world.

will systematically destroy every law on the books that restrains business/wall street in the least. Count on that.

Then the bubble economy will fire up until it collapses into the next great W style recession/depression.

These scumbags religion is naked greed and slash and burn capitalism.

I read that progressive ideals have been under attack since the 1930's and corporations are relentless in destroying all of the legal protections for workers, and newer laws and regulations that protect women, minorities and LGBT. And regulations for drugs, food, water, air and so on.

I wish the idiots who support the right would read our history. It used to be you worked til you died, families lived in cramped homes and everyone worked. If you got married, you stayed with your family or your spouse's family. That dream of a little place of their own wasn't reality until wage laws changed. And we are going to go backwards from property ownership, single family homes, a future.
Going back even further in history, it was impossible in most European countries to buy property. That's why so many people migrated to the U.S. Even now, most people in most other countries can't expect better for their kids, so they come here, or send their kids here. Is that what people on the right want? Do they want to be born to fail? Born to bow down to the rich? God, if they don't want to read history, read Dickens.

It is sad, but the Greatest Generation might be the only generation that had a vibrant middle class and a chance to build a future?

They just use us up and spit us out with zero compassion or mercy.

They sacrifice the 99% to the golden calf they worship.

The republican party is their weapon of choice against us all.
