Trump is untouchable

The thing that bothers me the most is even if Mueller finds damning information on Trump nothing can be done. I want Mueller to prosecute him and throw his ass in jail. Only thing that can be done is give the information to congress. The crooks have control and will not do a thing. McConnell and Ryan want to go down with Trump. They are about like his supporters. He could shoot someone in front of them and they would still make excuses. Our only hope is if we regain control of Congress before Mueller releases his report.

8. Today reports came out that more Republicans are inspired to vote in 2018 than Dems.

Doesn't matter that the Reps can't accomplish anything or that the President has sold out our country to a hostile power and wants to eliminate the rule of law.
Trump is still wildly popular in many areas of the country.

They don't make judgements based on analysis of news.
Their feelings are based in pure emotional tribalism.
Republicans are in power and their voters are delirious with fantasies of dominance.
Even if that power is destructive and will destroy all of American democracy, it doesn't matter.

It's their team and they are in it to win, win win!

Period.

"Not the party of Trump" is an empty losing message.
Dems have to find some issue that really hits at the emotional heart of America or nothing will change.

11. Yes, but what that doesn't say is how many people have left the Republican party.

Party membership isn't fixed -- it fluctuates.

That's one thing that makes political polling such a challenge.

4. Who would have thought that there were no laws in this country?

But only political initiatives.

I guess if the right party is in power I can steal and assault and murder, right?

There are no laws ... just things certain people don't like ... right?

9. Why do you think Mueller can't indict Trump?

I know there are legal theories that say he can't, but judges eill decide the issue, not legal theories.

17. Can Trump be indicted after he's out of office? (impeach, resign, pretzel)

Even if he can't be tried in the criminal system while he's president, everyone around him is vulnerable to the reach of the law. He likes to sign things, doesn't he? Well, he going to be very busy signing pardons.

out smelling like roses despite Iran Contra and for screwing over the middle class and running up the deficit and causing all kinds of problems with deregulation. Also, leading us into this sick "greed is good" attitude that remains to this day.
