Vineyard Gazette: Senator Warren Sounds Battle Cry for Democracy
A spear has a tip. And right now its the health care debate thats in front of us, Senator Warren said. Next week may be critical . . . they want to completely defund Planned Parenthood, where two million women get their health care services. Mostly women who live in areas where they dont have other access to health care . . . Those are the places we have to keep the focus, right this minute.
In opening remarks the senator said: Who thinks we are improving health care by having 22 million people have their health care cut?

SCHUMER ANNOUNCES THAT, AFTER HIS PUSH, $141 MILLION IN CONSTRUCTION FUNDING HAS FINALLY BEEN ALLOCATED TO THE CANANDAIGUA VA MEDICAL CENTER; THE NEW CLINIC WILL BE THE HELP ROCHESTER-FINGERLAKES VETERANS NEED, PREVIOUS UPGRADE WAS DELAYED BY BUREAUCRATIC HOLD-UPS
U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer announced today that, following his push, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will begin the long-sought construction-phase of the $141.13 million Canandaigua Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Campus modernization project, issuing the construction bid next month. Under the project, USACE and the VA plan to modernize the Canandaigua VA Medical Campus by renovating existing facilities and constructing new buildings, including a modern 84,200 square foot Outpatient Clinic, which will provide state-of-the-art care to meet the needs of current and future Rochester and Finger Lakes area veterans. Schumer said the Army Corps will get this important project back on track for the thousands of area veterans who depend upon the centers services.

DNC Chairman Tom Perez plots strategy with Texas Democrats
Organization and message. These are the principles that Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez hopes will revitalize his party and woo voters in next year's midterm elections.
"Organize, organize, organize," Perez told The Dallas Morning News. "We need to articulate what we stand for. We're for a brighter future for people in every ZIP code."

Nancy Pelosi Says Trump Jr. Et Al. May Be Complicit in Espionage
Did House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi just accuse Donald Trumps son, son-in-law, and former campaign manager of complicity in espionage? Maybe.
At a press conference Friday, the California Democrat read a list of crimes for which legal experts have said Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort could potentially be prosecuted as a result of their June 2016 meeting with a Russian lawyer. They hoped to receive damaging informationcourtesy of the Russian governmentabout Hillary Clinton. Pelosi spoke to reporters just as the news broke that Rinat Akhmetshin, a DC-based lobbyist for Russian interests, had also attended the Trump Tower meeting. Akhmetshin has denied reports claiming hes a former Russian counterintelligence officer.
This is a campaign violation: soliciting, coordinating, or accepting something of valueopposition research, documents, and informationfrom a foreign government of foreign national, Pelosi said, reading from notes. Plain and simple.

my sister is being tapped to run for county commish in ro-scum's district.
right now there is one dem out of 18 seats. they are planning to get one dem on the ballot in each of 6 districts, preferably a woman.
it is increasingly purple, the count dems and indivisible are doing great work. hillary took the district by 15%.
i'm not pushing her, but she knows i will be right there next to her.
this is how you grow the bench.

Trump has tapped into peoples emotions. That turns into energy, activism, and other involvement.
