Kris Kobach: States Refusing Data to ‘Voter Fraud’ Commission Must Be Hiding ‘Aliens’ On Voter Rolls
Kris Kobach, the Kansas secretary of state and vice chairman of President Trump’s “commission on election integrity” joined Alex Marlow at “Breitbart News Daily” this morning to defend the commission against criticism that it is a façade for voter suppression efforts.
Marlow asked Kobach if he had any suspicions of what the critics of the commission are trying to hide, since “they’re certainly hiding something, it’s crystal clear.”
Kobach responded that he’s getting pushback from “organizations on the left that have benefited from the claim that voter fraud is a myth and their existence is all about propagating this claim that there is no such thing as voter fraud.”
But he also said that the dozens of states that have refused to give his commission the extensive voter data that they have asked for must be hiding something.
“I think you may have some states—California being one that jumps to mind—that have said, or at least the secretary of state has said, ‘We aren’t going to provide this data,’” Kobach said. “In that case, the leadership of the state may be saying, ‘Look, we don’t want the extent to which our voter rolls are inaccurate or filled with people who are ineligible to vote such as aliens, we don’t want that being made public.”
