I think Trump will convince himself that he can and I wouldn't be surprised if he actually did it. He'll drag some lawyer in front of the cameras to explain why it's legal.

If he did go that route, impeachment will come fast and hard from all sides.

IMO, it's the only thing that will be a bridge too far for the repubs. By then, it'll be too late to save their party.

He will protect both furiously and is currently in meltdown whenever either are scrutinized. Expect a lot of crazy shit to happen when the investigation closes in on them.
