Tony "The Tongue" Scaramucci Is Just the First Step

in Trump's massive shakeup of the White House. He's preparing to fire Sessions and everyone involved in the investigation, if he can get away with it, and needs the fandango-dancer to talk his way out of a potential disaster.

The leak about Sessions was a White House operation, no doubt, designed to provide a reason to either fire the AG or force him to resign. There's going to be much more to come, I guarantee, and a lot of it will happen while Trump's on his August vacation and Congress is on their Summer break.

that's not what I'm talking about. Trump hired him because he's a smooth-talking con man who PINO thinks will be able to talk his way through this problem. Otherwise, why would he hire a guy who had seriously trash-talked Trump in the past. He needs a mouthpiece who can actually speak English in a way that makes sense. Between Spicer and Sara Huckleberry Sanders, he had nothing of the sort.

Scaramucci is a smart, energetic guy. If he can talk his way into getting hired by Trump, he can talk his way through almost anything, Trump believes.

He's going to be in charge of "messaging," apparently, so he'll be designing the lies that Sarah Huckleberry will be telling, rather than letting her just wing it clumsily. He's a pro at making misstatements that sound plausible, unlike Sara, who always fluffs her lines.

He sounds like an attention-seeking jerk but is apparently a firm believer in the virtue of revving up that giant sucking sound. Like Putin, this administration's constantly offering opportunities to grab more power.

From Politico, "Rise of the Showboat Donor" in 2014: "He also has given undisclosed contributions to groups in the political network helmed by billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch and has scored coveted invitations to their last few donor seminars. The Kochs, Scaramucci told POLITICO, “are the most misunderstood people in the United States. If you met them, you’d find them to be the most generous, charitable and honorable people in the country. I love those guys. They’re my boys.”

Lol, probably not. But he's no doubt theirs.

in recent years are strongly concentrated in that vast right-wing conspiracy.

A purge seems as likely as you're saying, but that replacements will continue to be kochtopus allies seems just as likely. Replacing like with like if needs be. Actually makes Bannnon and that Hungarian fascist seem almost desirable. A comparatively stable, focused inner circle seems very undesirable.

It's very difficult to get a President out of office before his/her term is up. It could happen, but if it does, it will probably be through resignation. Even in 2018, and even if we win back the House and Senate, getting a 2/3 vote in the Senate to remove Trump would be very, very difficult.

For me, the best hope is that more and more information will come out that shows Trump for who he is and what he's up to. If that happens, then we have a fair chance of getting a resignation. If not, we have 2020. If it gets bad enough, we'll end up with unbeatable majorities in Congress and a new Demcratic President in the White House. Then, the damage Trump manages to create can be undone and progress made once again.

I wish I had a more optimistic answer, but I don't. We need to keep the pressure on, though, and work our asses off to get back Congress so we can block the SOB if he doesn't resign.
