Is it too late for Sessions to reclaim his former senate seat?

Has it been filled yet?

Never mind the Russians; his decision to revive an asset forfeiture program alone is enough to kick him out.

Even the WSJ editorial chastised him before he took office and now, after the revival.

If a seat is filled by an appointment there would be no special election. Instead, the appointee finishes out the term and runs for re-election (if they decide to do that) during the regular election. Special elections are held only in those states where vacant seats can't be filled by the governor appointing a replacement.

A special election to choose the permanent holder of Sessions' vacated Senate seat will take place in 2018.

Unless, of course, Sessions' term would have ended in 2018?

I am still amazed at all the strange names of people here down South.

i was doing an intake during which a woman had mentioned her young daughter, so I asked the name.
Alopecia. She had heard the word alopecia, liked it and gave it to her daughter.

Judge Roy '10 Commandments' Moore, for one.
Crazy Mo Brooks, repug rep.
The head of Alabama's 'Focus on the Family' or Christian Coalition' or whatever.
State AG 'Big' Luther Strange was supposedly investigating our corrupt former Luv Guv until they had a powwow and magically the guv wasn't really under investigation and Big Strange Luther was appointed to take Session's seat until we have special election in Aug (primaries) and Sep. (general).

If you think it's a fucking circus in D.C., you should take a look at what we're saddled with.

Luv Guv resigned in disgrace.
Chief Justice of the state supreme court (Moore) kicked out of office FOR THE SECOND TIME!
Speaker of the Alabama House convicted on several counts of corruption and headed for the pen as soon as his appeals run out.
We hit the trifecta.

Oh yeah, it's an all repug, all the time show. Not a single dem in statewide elected office and damned few in local ones. Not a single one in my county.

What fun.

Mayor of Tuscaloosa, pretty well showed the right wing of the Jack Warner family was powerless. Jack is in his 90's and his son Jon is left leaning. Jack Warner in his day, put Richard Shelby in his senate seat and pulled many strings in Bama and nationwide.

have a special election eventually/soon. Of course the dems are way behind financially though. The candidate said it doesn't matter since he is campaigning on the "issues". We all know how well that goes these days. Hillary had well thought out plans on most issues while the Donald had none.
