Tony the Mooch wants the world to call a time out for him as he gets up to speed
I have seen some lame excuses in my day for people trying to "win" by delaying or ignoring things like crazy, but The Mooch's ploy has to be the most-transparent and least-effective of all.
The Mooch was asked on today's talk shows about tRump's disconect from reality. The Mooch's usual answer was "I will look into that and get back to you." The implication is that such questions are off the table until The Mooch does a little research. How long are they off the table? For The Mooch, forever would be a good time!
Well, I'm sorry, Mr Mooch, but the rest of us have been paying attention for the last six months. We've seen the evidence and have made decisions about tRump's sanity, and we're discussing such things TODAY, as in right this minute, as in, no, we don't need to find out if the sun really rises in the east. We all already KNOW a whole lot of things, and we're not going to set them on the shelf of the newscycle and not talk about them until you're up to speed.
I'm sorry, but in three days, the Mooch has shown himself to be just as hapless and just as ineffective as any of tRump's other spokesmen. If this is the guy that tRump is hoping will be able to control and spin the newscycle, he's blundered once again.
Bottom line is we've all seen The Mooch portrayed and parodied any number of times on TV and in the movies. The glib, empty suit who blathers on with his euphemistic schtick that no one is buying.
