What is the role of the Supreme Court in this "constitutional crisis"?

Where are all those "great" conservative minds as our Constitution and our institutions are being threatened and attacked?

Do they have the right to comment on situations such as we are now experiencing? Or are they now in the pocket of Donald Trump and the Republicans and are nothing more than toothless tigers?

Do they have to wait until our country is laid to waste before they can make a decision?

Who is leading this Judicial Branch?

It's a tough job, but Chief Justice Roberts stands ready to defend the administration's lawlessness from the niggling concerns of its victims (aka We the People).

Then it will go to the Supreme Court for a decision as to whether the pardon is constitutional or not. My fear is that he will insist Ginsburg recuse herself because of the past derogatory statements, then we will be stuck with a slanted bench that protects him.

None at this point.

Where are all those "great" conservative minds as our Constitution and our institutions are being threatened and attacked?

Watching, just like the rest of us.

Do they have the right to comment on situations such as we are now experiencing? Or are they now in the pocket of Donald Trump and the Republicans and are nothing more than toothless tigers?

They have the right to comment, RBG did recently, but if they do, they give the appearance of having already make up their mind before hearing the evidence and should rightfully recuse themselves, thus a loss to the side thy might have sided with.

Do they have to wait until our country is laid to waste before they can make a decision?

Yes, they have to wait until a case comes before them before they can make a decision on it. If no case comes before them, there's nothing for them to decide

Who is leading this Judicial Branch? The Chief Justice is the leader of the Supreme Court

Blogging under a fake name, Bush posted more than 400 items, often citing alt-right media reports containing conspiracy theories and false information, such as the claim that former President Barack Obama was not born in the U.S.

We tried to warn people, this is irreversible.

Damage done.

comes before them. Usually this means a case that has begun in a trial court, has been appealed to a circuit court of appeals, and that the Supreme Court has decided to hear. They never get involved in strictly political questions.
