Harry Reid opposed the Obama administrations arguments and sided with the Republicans.

Would the Senate actually be "in recess" during the Time Trump would fire Sessions?

Then what? Trump clearly thinks that this maneuver will permanently close down the investigation into his Russian connections and he can slink back into the sewers and continue to dismantle the normal functions of our government.

can prevent that. Have someone stay behind and open up the senate every day. I am glad Sessions didn't quit. Make trump fire him. Trump is on record as saying he would never had hired him if he knew he would recuse himself, more obstruction.

Does anyone honestly think that any pub would stay behind?

I said the other day that this is what happened and was assured that they couldn't do it. I replied, I think, that it was all up to the party in power to open and close sessions, so we are screwed

If this happens and they all skate, this is the EQUIVALENT of the Enabling Act

it is similar to what Nixon did. That was the straw that broke the camels back for the Republiklans then. I don't think it will have any impact on todays crop of Republiklans.
