No "there" there ...

Despite overwhelming confirmation from our intelligence community of Russian interference in our election, Trump maintains that such tampering is a “hoax” and a “witch-hunt” without merit – all facts to the contrary.

Trump has never failed to praise Russia’s President Putin.

Trump’s first national security advisor, Michael Flynn, had to resign in disgrace – because of his connections to Russian operatives.

Trump demanded a personal loyalty oath from James Comey, and asked him to drop the investigation into his administration’s Russian ties. When Comey refused, he was fired.

Trump handed over highly classified information to Russians during a closed meeting with them in the Oval Office.

Trump had two meetings with Russia’s President Putin – both behind closed doors with no USers in attendance – and only disclosed the second meeting when it was revealed by others.

Don Trump Jr. and Jared Kushner are just two of the Trump clanners who “forgot” their contacts with Russian operatives – and only came forward with that information when confronted with irrefutable evidence that those contacts had taken place.

Jared Kushner, Trump’s “trusted advisor”, met with Russians in order to set-up a back-door channel to Russia that would circumvent our intelligence agencies’ ability to monitor those communications.

Jeff Sessions perjured himself rather than admit to his meetings with Russians – and also only revealed those meetings when faced with the evidence thereof. Sessions is now being ostracized by Trump because he recused himself from overseeing an investigation into Trump & Co’s Russian ties, and is therefore not in a position to shut those investigations down.

Trump is now trying to figure out how he can fire Sessions and replace him with someone who will, in turn, fire Mueller – who is currently investigating Trump & Co’s involvement with Russian operatives.

Trump has stated – time and again – that he has “no financial ties to Russia”, but steadfastly refuses to produce his tax returns, which might tell a completely different story.

Trump has worked tirelessly to dismiss the mounting evidence that he and his cohorts have colluded with Russians.

So tell us again, GOPers, why a man innocent of colluding with Russians doesn’t say “Look into whatever you want to look into, which will prove I didn’t do so”, but instead tries to discredit anyone who gets close to the truth. Tell us again how these multiple contacts between Trump & Co and Russian operatives – which are only acknowledged AFTER the evidence of same comes to light – were merely omitted due to naïvete or forgetfulness.

Tell us again how this whole ”Russian thing” has NO merit – despite the FACT that your “pResident” and his administration continue to do everything in their power to put an end to any questions being raised about that Russian thing.

Tell us again – because it’s a story we all love to hear – about how there’s no “there” there when it comes to Russian ties between Trump and his cohorts – all of whom have been caught blatantly lying about those ties.

Look, Republicans, it comes down to this: Either you stand with your fellow citizens and DEMAND to know who knew what and when, who colluded with our Russian enemies, and who continues to work with the Russians by denying their involvement in our last election – or you stand with a so-called “pResident” and his cohorts, whose involvement with Russians have been consistently denied until the irrefutable evidence proves otherwise.

There’s no middle ground here. The Republican spokes-mouths who show up in the MSM night after night claiming there’s no “there” there are now looking like idiots who are ignorant of the irrefutable facts that continue to surface.

While the there’s no “there” there argument persists, one is left to wonder why the “no 'there' there” folks can’t explain why there’s so much in-your-face “there” to begin with.

news but then consider the source. I heard something today which said Mueller probably already has Trump's tax returns and would be able to get them because of investigation into corruption. Whether those returns are ever made public at least Mueller and his capable team will look into them.

I continue to ask trumpers what has Trump done since in office and they can't really point to anything. Explained to a trumper this weekend why it the Paris Climate Agreement was important. Actually he was not born when efforts was made to clean up pollution.

Thanks, love reading your posts.

I do not know any of his supporters and that keeps my stress level down. In fact, I screen my calls (I always have but changed my message). My message for the past 6 months is to allow people to "leave a message unless you are a Repub and in that case please run along".

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-06-13/russian-breach-of-39-states-threatens-future-u-s-elections

Russia’s cyberattack on the U.S. electoral system before Donald Trump’s election was far more widespread than has been publicly revealed, including incursions into voter databases and software systems in almost twice as many states as previously reported.

In Illinois, investigators found evidence that cyber intruders tried to delete or alter voter data. The hackers accessed software designed to be used by poll workers on Election Day, and in at least one state accessed a campaign finance database. Details of the wave of attacks, in the summer and fall of 2016, were provided by three people with direct knowledge of the U.S. investigation into the matter. In all, the Russian hackers hit systems in a total of 39 states, one of them said.

for the Trump pirate ship. He connects with enough misinformed, low information voters. Our system failed again. Too many good people are getting burned by the top 1% and supporting their abusers. The term "Siberian Candidate" used to be a joke. Not anymore.
It seems more and more that the dumbing down fostered by the radical right is paying immediate returns, but in the long run we get owned by Putin. Khrushchev was right. They're burying us. Is there any turning around once the looking glass is breached?

Do you stand with America or do you stand with Russia?

There is no need to wrap ourselves in the American flag but this is about betrayal of everything America stands for.
