The Right Wings Faux Outrage Over Fake News Obscures Fox, Breitbart, Rush Limbaugh, Etc.
It is easy to forget that "fake news" originally referred to the Facebook stories that were invented and pushed to the public. However, Trump has appropriated the term to refer to any news that is critical of him.
While fighting his attacks on actual journalism, we should not lose sight of how the right wing is aided by an entire RW propaganda establishment that just pushes false propaganda. Rachel Maddow is not the left wing equivalent of Brietbart.
Sadly, the attacks on real journalists engaging in journalism has made us gun shy about calling out the real bias that pervades RW outlets. There just is not a real left wing equivalent to Breitbart or Fox unless you are referring to the Russian controlled "lefties" on Russia Today who push Russian talking points, but from a left wing perspective.
