Connecting McCain's Tragic Diagnosis to Trumpcare 'Is the Goddamn Point'

It isn't in poor taste, and it isn't political opportunism—it's the goddamn point."

That's what Jon Pavlovitz, a pastor from North Carolina, writes regarding the importance of talking about the recently-announced cancer diagnosis of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.)—which he calls "tragic" and "horrific"—in the midst of a raging national debate over healthcare.

"The personal hell that John McCain and his loved ones are walking through right now is the point of it all. These moments are precisely what we're talking about, arguing about, screaming about: The atomic bomb of grief that gets dropped on your family when you get the test results and your planet is altered forever." —Pastor John Pavlovitz

On Thursday, McCain's doctors confirmed the 80-year-old senator and former presidential nominee had been diagnosed with an aggressive and malignant form of brain cancer. In the wake of the news there was an outpouring of support and well-wishes from across the political spectrum aimed at the senator and his family.

With the Republicans still aiming to ram some version of their Trumpcare proposal through the Senate this week—and as the popular opposition vows vigilance to thwart those efforts—Pavlovitz argues its disingenuous for people to argue that McCain's illness should be off limits politically.

So that left only Murkowski and Collins bravely voting against.

46 Democrats plus 2 independents opposed, including many liberal men.

Regardless, not enough women there, in the US Senate. And some of them, who so strongly profess such religious purity, like Joni "Fuck You" Ernst, have no soul whatsoever. Just like the rest of their party. Soulless ghouls, all of them. They'll all willingly eat all of our brains.

BRAINS!!!

kill people needlessly, at the same time their taxes pay for your worldclass healthcare then don't fucking complain when those facts are pointed out. The SAD THING IS he believes he somehow deserves services that all Americans do not. Republicans are a cancer on this country in every way. They are destroying democracy because they profit. I hope karma finds them quickly and crushes them like a million tons of brick.

10. Especially when McCain turns right around and says he won't vote for the current version of the bill
Tue Jul 25, 2017, 05:02 PM
Jul 2017

Then what's the point of proceeding to debate, Senator? Is the legislative calendar so wide open that you can waste hours on debate for a bill that won't pass? I mean, sure, that's what your chamber has been doing for more than six years, but don't you get tired of flapping your arms trying to fly to the moon?

Fuckhead.

or is this anticipatory? considering the parade of sick people both sides bring to the argument there is no way that his illness should be off limits.
