GOP Planning Midnight Massacre While Children Sleep. HC Votes Coming Up.

Based on interview on Maddow just now the GOP is planning to vote on the three HC bills hoping to pass just one of them by early morning. That means most Americans will be in bed and could lose their health care before they get up tomorrow. It sounds like they will vote until a bill is passed.

McDonnell is prepared to change the rules to his liking arbitrarily. For all we know Medicare is gone too. No one knows what the are voting on for sure. Many parts of the latest bill seem to be secret.

WTF.

Pretty sure they have to have a minimum of 20 hours of debate, with equal time for both sides before they can proceed with a vote.

Based on the interview looks like they may be voting without debate. Maybe McConnell changed the rule? Not sure surprised to hear that votes were coming up through the night?

Plus sounds like no one has had time to read the "skinny bill". Either way any of these bills is a complete disaster for the country. They are playing with a bomb with no idea what it will do when it goes off nationally.

and again, this is a procedural vote so if any of them pass there would have to be debate and then a final vote on that amendment, plus anything else that McConnell adds to it.

I think this vote is on the House repeal-replace because it is failing "bigly"

That was really, really bad and people knew as soon as it passed that there was no way it would survive the Senate.

That was the beer in the rose garden bill, if you remember that.

That will, I think, also require 60 votes unless they stripped out of it the provisions the Parliamentarian said violated the Byrd rule.

He was an expert on all the procedural stuff, especially when in the minority. Tremendous late night energy also.
