Some worrisome signs in the initial BCRA vote...

Glad it failed. It was an awful bill. But it makes me doubt that we'll be able to stop any repeal and there's two reasons why:

John McCain (he only needed a slight nudge, I guess, to vote for a bill that almost exactly resembles the old version) and Shelly Capito, who said she would not vote for the BCRA due to Medicaid cuts actually voted in support of an even MORE conservative BCRA (with the Cruz amendment) tonight. She's not a swing vote. She's a hard yes. McCain is, too.

That leaves even fewer options on the right to sink whatever Skinny Repeal will certainly come.

I think Skinny Repeal is almost certain to pass now. It's a shame because Skinny Repeal will be a big disaster.
