McCain’s healthcare fantasy goes like this: Both the Democrats and Republicans are refusing to work across the aisle. If only they would approach each other and be willing to compromise, the Senate would be able to actually govern.

Misapprehension #1: The Democrats are unwilling to work with Republicans.
