3. I don't think that's the real reason.

Support for LGBT people in the military and in general has always been Dem policy. Obama's EO allowing trans people to serve in the military wasn't an issue in the last election as far as I can tell, and certainly didn't cause Hillary to lose the rust belt states.

The real reasons Trump revoked the policy, IMO, are: (a) to feed red meat to his base in order to keep their support for when the shit hits the Russia fan, and (b) to continue removing all traces of the Obama administration from the federal government.

Trump can't stand that anyone would wish to live differently then his narrow view in life. So lets screw over millions of people...Sick.

They salivate and become rabid anytime they think they can inflict pain on a cause they believe "liberals" support.

Honestly many do not care about the LGBTQ community. They have little contact with individuals unlike themselves. They do not care about wind, solar, and other non-fossil fuel energy, nor have any real opinion on climate change. Many honestly do not care about contraception coverage and take full advantage of the savings (abortion IS often a deal breaker though). However, they believe these, and other causes, are supported by liberals and in order to hurt liberals, they must rally against these causes when provoked.
