He broke with his party and voted no on the partial repeal which would have involved, among other things, stripping federal funding for abortion.

(60,010 posts)That bill also had an article denying Federal funds for Abortions.
So now he can say he voted FOR health care and AGAINST abortion.
Except....
There is no Fed. Funds for abortions. The Hyde Amendment took care of that years ago.
Whole damn lot of them are sleazy, all show and no go.

Reading nonstop posts about wanting a person's death is really not what I would expect to see on a site like this one.

(152,963 posts)I have wished him well.....but the man deserves to be trashed for getting excellent healthcare on the taxpayer dime while helping his repuke cohorts use healthcare for millions of Americans as a political football
When something passes, if they need his vote for it, you can guaran-damn-tee he will vote for it, and if he's allowed to vote against it, he will say some nice words "condemning" it of course, but he could have stopped it all in it's tracks earlier.

(13,390 posts)He is a strange guy. He comes across as so angry that I wonder if he is just filled with spite and making the most of it in his final days? His votes to repeal and to let this debate go forward could be read as getting back at Obama for winning. Then.. is he getting back at Trump, who I would think he would hate with a passion, by voting no on the bill?
I can only speculate.

(8,419 posts)McCain votes No on a bill that clearly will fail to get fifty votes in an effort to display his Maverick nature. In reality his is an opportunistic fucking asshole who has never taken a stand against his un patriotic repuke brothers in the Senate.
To be clear, I DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK WHAT THIS PIECE OF SHIT OF A HUMAN BEING VOTED ON, in an effort to make himself look patriotic and non partisan. FUCK HIM!

(7,587 posts)the GOP conflate planned parenthood with abortion money even though pp does not use any federal money for abortions because its actually already against the law..
you are using common sense and not trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes. little facts expressed sensibly and repeatedly by MSM would work wonders in getting rid of some of the obfuscation that clouds the minds of many.

Is there a point where the R comrades will just say fuck it, let's move on to something else our donors will like?
