Ryan Wont Promise Not to Pass Skinny Repeal Bill

Political Wire

Axios

House Speaker Paul Ryan said Thursday evening that the House would be "willing" to go to conference committee with the Senate if that's what it takes to move the GOP's health care legislation forward.

What he didn't do, however, was rule out eventually passing a "skinny repeal" bill if the conference committee fails to produce anything that can pass the Senate. The House could, according to the rules, still pass the skinny bill if the conference comes up empty, a senior GOP aide said.

Ryan to agree to take the bill to Conference. Why should he? If he just takes it straight to the floor he can blame the outcome on the Senate. If the Rethug Senators vote to pass this bill and Ryan takes it to the House Floor for a vote and it becomes law then the Democrats need to bang a construct drum that the Republicans own the consequence. The Democrats will need remain incessant. They need to hang it on the Republicans. They need to form a group to monitor the results and to be broadcasting it every single day. A website could track the volume of people who lose their insurance. The website could be include a page for people to input their experience. The Democrats need to put names and faces to the victims of this bill.
