Should we start a writing campaign to the local WV news?? -

filings and Newspaper Reporting about the size of his Campaign funds on hand. Last printed money on hand was last week. Suddenly he went from 750k to 3.5million in one month. And if he gets his ass handed to him, which surly hope happens,he gets to keep those Campaign funds not spent. Heller has a head start on his Golden Parachute.

Met the Slug at a Tailor shop that makes his suits, which cost several thousands per copy. Spouse and I delivered a Sewing Machine part this tailor purchased from our neighbor. Sheldon and two mean as hell looking Body Guards came in this fellows shop. Sheldon ordered us out so he could do a fitting. What a smelly foul mouthed POS.

(will be meeting with her on Monday).

Dina Titus may run as well.

Statement on Senator Heller’s Health Care Vote

Congresswoman Jacky Rosen, a former computer programmer and synagogue president, released the following statement on Republican Senator Dean Heller’s vote in favor of the latest GOP scheme to repeal the Affordable Care Act:

“Last month, Senator Heller promised that he could not vote for legislation that takes away insurance from tens of millions of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Nevadans. Last night, he voted to do just that. No politician from our state has ever been more dishonest about their intentions, more misleading about their position or more disingenuous to their constituents. This was the biggest broken political promise in modern Nevada history.

“Senator Heller’s vote for this ill-conceived repeal plan was a vote for higher premiums, millions of Americans losing coverage, and a death spiral for the insurance markets. No policy issue touches people’s lives in a more personal way than health care, and Senator Heller seems to have forgotten that there are real people back home who are struggling and terrified and would have suffered real-life consequences under this bill. And while Nevadans can breathe a little easier knowing that this disastrous plan did not pass, it’s clear that we cannot trust Senator Heller to protect our health care. Our current health care system is far from perfect, but I know we can work together to find smart solutions for the people of our state. That’s what I plan to do as Nevada’s next Senator.”

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimated that under this bill, premiums would increase by 20% each year and 16 million Americans would lose health insurance.

Earlier this week, Jacky Rosen’s campaign launched a powerful video responding to Senator Heller’s deciding vote to advance the Republican health care plan. Senator Heller is widely viewed as the weakest Republican Senator up for re-election in 2018. A statewide poll released last month found Jacky Rosen leading Senator Heller in a head-to-head matchup.

She is awesome. Met her years ago on a trip to a state dem party organizational meeting. She was the only elected rep in the entire state to show and took the bus like all the rest of us. She has been working for Nevada for over a decade.

Here she is talking health care.

She was doing a townhall type meeting in my subdivision. I shook her hand and thanked her for her vote on the ACA. Unfortunately, she lost the election and I got gerrymandered out of her district (Joe Heck - yuck!).

She is very sharp.

In fact, as much as I like Jacky Rosen, she is brand new to Congress having just started her first term in the House. Titus has been around a lot longer and has experience and was valedictorian in the school of hard knocks. She will be an excellent senator.

Heller will probably be primaried by Danny Tarkanian. I dunno where NV gets some of these rethugs (Sharon Angle, Michele Fiore, Sue Lowder [the chicken lady] to give a few examples), but they are complete jokes. Tarkanian is a professional conman depending on college sports fans (his father was a coach).

Whoever the Democratic candidate is, she has my vote.

I don't know how many West Virginia voters will still be remembering this vote by then. Assuming that the ACA remains largely or entirely in place, no one will have suffered any ill effects from her vote.

Heller, however, is considered the most vulnerable incumbent Republican Senator who's up in 2018. Even before the health care debacle, he was the only Republican Senator defending a seat in a state Clinton won.
