I'm reticent on antibiotics research. We need better antibiotics. But if we create them, the first thing that'll happen is the drug companies will advertise them on TV, people will demand them for diseases penicillin still cures, and within a year we're looking at superantibiotic-resistant superbugs.

Germs don't discriminate. They'll infect you in your ragged jeans or your Armani suit and if Armani suit guy brushes past uninsured jeans guy, rich guy gets sick because jeans guy can't afford to see a doctor.
