(6,916 posts)So while I don't agree with him on everything, this was a principled stand and I applaud him for that stand.
And the Koches need to be disinvited from America. If they want to destroy the govt to give themselves tax cuts and higher profits, they should take themselves to another country. Their values dont align with American values.

This book is more important than Bill Browder's testimony/book, which is why it's being attacked as much as "Dark Money "
The movements ultimate goal is capitalism free from government interference, and a government essentially stripped to maintaining law and order and national defense. Its adherents want to privatize most public services, especially public schools and Social Security. They have adopted the language of conservatism, and have successfully hijacked the Republican Party in the process, but they are not conservative in the traditional sense. Most people would not support the movements extreme libertarian vision if its adherents didnt couch it in appeals to a benign personal freedom.

(68,347 posts)and he has been bad on education. But he expanded Medicaid and saved thousands of lives and some of our hospitals which were in danger of closing. He vetoed the heartbeat bill too despite being anti-choice. He said it violated the constitution. He is a Republican so I cannot say he is a great governor or even a good one. He trashed wind for the Koch's which cost jobs. I am a progressive, and I hold very different views. But Kasich acted in a way that reflected his Catholic faith in terms of Medicaid.

If he were real, he'd get behind exposing the Ohio vote fraud/suppression, going back at least as far as 2004
