mr. kelly, meet the kiss of death.

(12,448 posts)especially given that he turned it down several times; he clearly didn't want it. What changed?
I have a feeling this will end in tears.

(115,065 posts)Those big-shot generals have pretty substantial egos themselves, and Kelly is used to managing big organizations and having his orders followed. He probably figures he can show up at the West Wing and start creating org charts and rearranging staff duties and telling Scaramucci to behave himself. He'll probably insist on being the gatekeeper for access to Trump, which is the way most chiefs of staff operate. The problem is that Trump doesn't operate that way; he'll insist that Scaramucci and Jared and Ivanka have direct access to him at all times; he won't give Kelly advance notice of much of anything; he'll keep tweeting; he'll directly contradict things Kelly says publicly - just like he did to Priebus. Trump likes chaos and he likes playing his staff against each other. Unless Trump empowers Kelly to clean up that mess - and that won't happen - he'll fail and Trump will stab him in the back on his way out.

(63,221 posts)administration is heading, Trump would toss him out on his ass in a New York minute. He won't allow anyone to upstage him or look more competent and if Kelly starts imposing some order on this train wreck his days will be numbered.

(115,065 posts)Trump likes dumpster fires. He starts them. He won't let Kelly or anyone else come anywhere near his stinky conflagrations with a fire extinguisher.

(61,656 posts)I wonder if he conceal-carries while in the WH? (I know: not likely.) Hate to see him lose his cool and start plugging the boss.

(13,390 posts)would think it's a good idea to work for a childish bully. It's kind of mystifying that anyone with interpresonal or intellectual skills would see him as salvageable as president.

(115,065 posts)He'll clash with Scaramucci, SCROTUS' Mini-Me, almost instantly. Trump likes foul-mouthed thugs even more than he likes generals, so the minute Kelly starts trying to rein in Mini-Me, he'll be on his way out.

(1,257 posts)He is really lost in some sort of alternate reality of his own creation.
Just saying something will be so, does not make it a reality for the rest of the consciousd world.
It is beyond ironic that his so called administration will go down in history as one of the worst, if not the worst!
Childish..... and evil.

(63,057 posts)if they can name five chiefs of staff from prior to the Trump administration.
I'm betting that you won't lose your $100M on the deal.
