(10,493 posts)for him. If he understands why we need regulations and federal agencies with enough money to enforce the regulations I am half way there! We know he stands for the Rule of Law, something some SCOTUS members do not. If he sees a need for infrastructure, education, recognizes climate change is real and willing to do something substantial about it I will jump for joy. If he can use the Bully Pulpit and call out the corruption of our campaign finance system, institute single payer...
I know, might as well ask for unicorns. If we could address voter purges, electronic hacking and the thousand other ways they cheat maybe we can control all of Congress and the WH. Sadly, no one is proposing anything to protect our elections despite the Russian hacking. That tells me the fix is in for 2018!

(10,499 posts)A man who suspended the principles of liberal democracy to get a Republican elected.
The fact that Comey and Trump turned on each other after they secured the White House for the GOP is irrelevant. What matters is that Neil Gorsuch is on the court, fully prepared to make future elections less democratic.
Mueller may be willing to take Trump down and do his job honestly. But that doesn't affect the GOP's assault on democracy. Donald Trump is by no means the only problem here.
