I just hope the country survives his petty, vindictive behavior beforehand.

All the mess in a matter of months. How long will it take a REAL president to set the country on the right path? Hopefully the tRump family will not bankrupt us before he is finally thrown out of office (and into prison, hopefully).

could explain in detail why this is happening. But I am going to take a wag at it with my limited understanding of what ails our Man/child Commando. When you are pretty much used to calling the shots, pushing people around and generally having your way for the majority of your life, it kind of sucks to realize you don't rule the world. He came into the job believing that he'd have carte blanche to do as he pleased, hire and fire, come and go and no one could tell him no. His view of the Legislative and the Judicial branches was that they were to serve at HIS pleasure. In other words, he was at the top o' the heap, King of the World.

Shortly after arriving at his exalted position, he discovered his hopes and dreams of being the Lord and Ruler of the Realm were not coming to fruition. Some people were telling him No! And others on his staff were leaking news to the hated (but needed) press like an open faucet.

In pretty short order he created more problems for himself and others by firing Comey and seeing Mueller hired to continue the job of investigating "that Russia thing". In spite of all his efforts to belittle it, swat it away, it just keeps going and now juicy tidbits are falling like manna from heaven every day. At least from the press's point of view, if not our beleaguered CIC.

The noose tightens and chafes. Even in his world of unreality, he sees what is coming and it frightens him but more than anything, it angers him. He knows his financial secrets are not so secret anymore and if things keep going like they are now, all his dirty deeds will be known to pretty much anybody who cares to know. He is scrambling to keep his base firmly lashed to his side, but even they recognize a run away train when they see it. Some have risked a suicide jump to the nearest ditch while others cling by their fingernails to the last caboose on the tRump train.

It is this narcissist worst nightmare. His reputation built on water vapor and meringue is starting to crumble under him. All the bluster and braggadocio built over decades of snarky business deals that ultimately lead him to underhanded and illegal business deals with Russia will be exposed. The empire he craves and has spent his whole life pursuing is in serious jeopardy and indeed, his whole way of life is on the line. The entire tRump family (maybe excluding Barron and his grandkids) will go down with him. The name tRump will live in infamy and shame.

So yep. He is turning a bit sour on the job. One might even think he is starting to regret this whole cockamamy idea of running for President. Especially when he never intended to win when what he really wanted was to just burnish the family brand. Once he won, he thought he could fake it and no one would be the wiser. He wasn't counting on pesky media nagging and pushing with questions and more digging. Once they found a thread, they have kept on tugging and pulling at it until we find ourselves at an interesting cross road. We have a President who could pull the whole thing we call democracy down around our ears. Or the people with the power to stop him and right this listing ship of state can step in and do their jobs.

We, the people, watch anxiously. We talk among ourselves. We call and write our Congress critters. And our Commander in Chief sinks further into his world of unreality. The next few months will be critical for him, but also for us. The control and steadiness coming from the Oval Office that we have come to expect is gone. Replaced by a seriously messed up man who is in pursuit of his own selfish needs. No one seems to know how this saga will end but it will make one hell of an entry in our 250+ year history.
