A letter left behind, but evidently never read?

Before President Obama left the White House as POTUS 44, he left a very nice letter for the new president. In that letter, I'm paraphrasing, he congratulated the new president. He went on to say that the office should be held with high regards and the laws of the of the government should be executed to up hold the well being all Americans.


Thank you President Obama. You are an example of a person with a great respect and morals and those who you followed as President of the United States.

Now, here's this problem! The IDIOT who took office after President Obama, probably never read it? He more than likely thought that is was orders how to run the country and would not take order from anyone? Trump is a fool who will destroy this country that President Obama worked to build up from the country's first to the 43 presidents honored and cherished. This our country and not one Trump's businesses.

I read a few of the letters that were posted on CNN. They were all quite poignant and I am certain the humility is lost on Trump.

You probably gave it a once-over and tossed it never to give it a second thought. Here's hoping he never gets a chance to carry on the tradition.

Actually who are we kidding if he managed to squeak out for years I don't believe for a second he'd write a letter of his own.

CNN: Obama, when writing the letter, didn't disclose the content even to his closest aides. Since then, however, Trump has shown the letter to visitors in the Oval Office or his private White House residence. CNN obtained a copy from someone Trump showed it to.


I feel that this part applies to each citizen, not just presidents:

Third, we are just temporary occupants of this office. That makes us guardians of those democratic institutions and traditions -- like rule of law, separation of powers, equal protection and civil liberties -- that our forebears fought and bled for. Regardless of the push and pull of daily politics, it's up to us to leave those instruments of our democracy at least as strong as we found them.
