Tetanus

I didn't appreciate the danger of tetanus facing Texan homeowners returning. Because of the contaminated water flooding thousands of homes, black mold is only one health hazard. The bacteria coats the floors, walls, furniture, objects, etc. and a minor cut can allow the entrance of these germs.

While many people are up-to-date on their tetanus vaccines, many have not realized they missed getting booster shots.

The homes will need to be thoroughly cleaned, possibly fumigated if allowed to remain standing.

You raised an excellent point about the danger of infection in that area. The long time frame between boosters cause many to forget not to mention those who do not see/have a provider.
