Trump and Congress effed over North Carolina last year after Matthew hit our state.

Local media called this a once in every 1000 yr storms.

99 percent of Hurricane Matthew aid requested by NC denied by Trump administration

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The State of North Carolina requested $929 million from the federal government to help with costs associated with Hurricane Matthew, but the state will be receiving far less than that, according to an announcement by Gov. Roy Cooper.

North Carolina will receive only $6.1 million from the Trump administration. That’s 99 percent less than the requested amount.

In a letter Cooper sent to the president and other officials today, he expressed “shock and disappointment in the lack of federal funding for Hurricane Matthew recovery efforts.”

The governor had worked with Sen. Thom Tillis and Representatives David Price (D) and Rep. David Rouzer (R) in April to come up with a request to Congress to help cover the costs associated with the destruction left by Matthew.

And now some people (mostly on the right) are asking if we can save American lives, homes, neighborhoods, potentially entire towns... Give me a break.

Until he makes the 1% pay taxes, the 400 families in the US, we won't have a damn dime in the bank. The Waltons can all the damn food they want, at the end of the day it's still a tax deduction, even less than they may pay.

They and the others don't pay crap....Every one of them skate every year, as do their corporations. Oh yeah the highest tax rate evahhhhh .... let's look at Europe and the fact they have successful corps that actually have to pay taxes.

Will we borrow more from China and Dump's pals in Russia????

Nor can we afford to turn away help from Mexico. And ditto all of the above regarding the budget and the 1%. Not only will we need funding for the continental US, but it looks like P.R. is going to take a direct hit while it's still a Cat 5. The upcoming destruction could prove devastating to our people as well as our economy.

If you give money to Joel Osteen God will make you Rich. If you give tax breaks to the Koch Brothers they will make you rich. Those are religious beliefs which are to be taken as true no matter what the fake data tell us.
