Full Moon and a Cat5 Hurricane

http://whnt.com/2017/09/03/the-unofficial-start-of-fall-will-feature-septembers-full-moon/
<snip>
The next full moon will come this Tuesday, September 5th, which also happens to be the (unofficial) start of the fall season!

Viewing looks good for Tuesday night. Skies will be mostly clear, as clouds are not expected to build in again until Wednesday morning. It will be cool though, so grab a light sweater or blanket before you head out. Temperatures will fall into the 60s about an hour after sunset.

The Fruit Moon: September’s full moon is known as the Fruit Moon, but the Harvest Moon also usually falls in September. The full moon closest to the autumnal equinox, which falls on September 22, is the year’s harvest moon. This year October’s full moon, which falls on October 5th, will be closer to the equinox and so will be this year’s Harvest Moon.

She is currently walking around Mt Blanc in the Alps. She was my 42nd birthday
present (I'm on the 7th).

of anywhere I've lived. No floods, no hurricanes, no tornadoes,
no blizzards, no extreme heat. 4600 foot elevation, lots of mountains,
trees, not too many people. Great weather here. Come visit.
Either that or I'm coming to Jamaica on my next trip.

I think you'll reach Jamaica first. These days I come to the US for family gatherings and not all of them.

The great American eclipse new moon two weeks ago. Just a coincidence that we had a massive Houston hurricane one week after, and that now we're having a massive Irma hurricane two weeks later as the moon reaches Fullness.

Crazy coincidence, eh?

I just happen to be visiting family in Indiana this month and have no idea what I will return to. Fortunately my Keys family will evacuate in the morning and join me up here. They are teachers and they closed the schools. The Keys are quite experienced at evacs, fortunately. Everything can be replaced except for lives. I did ask my daughter to grab some picture albums and my last year's tax returns, lol! (Uncle Sam will still want his cut when April rolls around)
