Former Dem senator Max Baucus, architect of the ACA, is now supporting

sIngle payer and feels that the rest of the Dem party will support it soon too. With the efforts of Sanders, Warren and Harris this will be something that the Democratic Party will soon have as an emerging consensus. He said that it will be to Democrats as tax cuts for the rich is to Republicans.

Single-payer really seems to be very popular with the Democratic base. Health care is a major issue and will only become more important as our society ages.
