https://politicalwire.com/2017/09/10/sessions-wants-nsc-staff-take-lie-detector-tests/"SNIP........
Attorney General Jeff Sessions has told associates he wants to put the entire National Security Council staff through a lie detector test to root out leakers. Its unclear whether this will ever happen, but Sessions floated the idea to multiple people, as recently as last month, according to Jonathan Swan.
Sessions idea is to do a one-time, one-issue, polygraph test of everyone on the NSC staff. Interrogators would sit down with every single NSC staffer (theres more than 100 of them), and ask them, individually, what they know about the leaks of transcripts of the presidents phone calls with foreign leaders. Sessions suspects those leaks came from within the NSC, and thinks that a polygraph test at the very least would scare them out of leaking again.

Instead, give Sessions a lie detector test about what Trump said, views on racism, etc.

Or possibly, doesn't care.
Lie detector tests have become a popular cultural icon from crime dramas to comedies to advertisements the picture of a polygraph pen wildly gyrating on a moving chart is readily recognized symbol. But, as psychologist Leonard Saxe, PhD, (1991) has argued, the idea that we can detect a person's veracity by monitoring psychophysiological changes is more myth than reality. Even the term "lie detector," used to refer to polygraph testing, is a misnomer. So-called "lie detection" involves inferring deception through analysis of physiological responses to a structured, but unstandardized, series of questions.

Although government agencies are exempt from the Employee Polygraph Protection Act, Sessions is going to wade into a quagmire if he goes that route.

Adults follow the "lead by example" rule. You think your a leader? Then go first to show how it's done.
